Day 4: Time off

 Almost a week into the organizing, down sizing, and declutter project, I've had it! I ache. My hands look and feel like sandpaper. A pinched finger, in something I don't remember what*, really hurt bad. It is funny only remembering the pain. At the time, I was sure it was bleeding.

My shoulders will ache awful when kept in one position too long. My neck is sore on one side, then the back and then the other side. The bad bone-on-bone knee is very sore. Otherwise, I feel all right. The major portion of the clear out is finished. I now will rest, do laundry, and take breaks sitting in my room admiring all the effort I put in to make it look nice.

* I remember now.
I was fixing a frame that had a corner separated, when my finger got caught between the two pieces I was pushing on to align them.

    1. Thank you, Marie
      I had a very good rest this afternoon. No moving stuff, no rattling boxes, no piles of stuff falling over. It was wonderful. 😂

  2. Well, you are way ahead of me in this productive week, so I hope you give yourself a big pat on the back (or a massage, which might be better!). Apart from the soreness and aches, it's such a good feeling, isn't it? Three cheers for you!

  3. You deserve a day off to sit and admire the results of your efforts. After I did the sewing room clear out I sat back, looked around, and muttered to myself that nothing looks any different, despite getting rid of a lot of excess. Felt rather depressed after that.

  4. Your de-clutter and organizing has made you ache and sore. So sorry about that. I bet it's starting to look much nicer though. Sometimes all the effort pays off in the end. Good for you for working so hard and trying to make things better for your living situation. : )

    1. Sheri,
      Yes, it definitely pays off. Reducing stuff melts my heart. I’m counting to project as exercise as well.
