This is such a post…haunted by ideas that disappear leaving only a big gray letter to a blank space.
Well, I might as well fill it with a post.
Browsing real estate listings and used SUVs is a pastime of mine. To my credit, the vehicles I bookmark usually are sold in a week or two (or less).
Homes are listed for months. It is sad to me when a fixer-upper is sold because my dream of winning the lottery to buy and renovate it are gone. On to the next isn’t a happy moment. I pass by places often remembering the way it was in my dreams.
In my mind, I’ve designed two homes. Both have a pumpkin field with wooden fences, an enclosed pavilion with a huge fireplace, a kitchen, lots of windows and restrooms.
Every year in October, there is a free pumpkin festival that lasts from a sunrise watch to the midnight moonlight. It is a chance for folks that can’t afford the high cost of event tickets, to attend a free community fellowship based festival.
One theme moves into the next, pumpkin picking until noon. Pumpkin mask making contest for kids. Afternoon games for everyone. Evening barbeque, forest walk, and story telling. Ending with Midnight dancing in the Moonlight.
My daydream festival planning makes me happy.
Do you have favorite daydreams?
