When projects last longer than planned

Just keep going

I’ve seen stuff I haven’t seen in years. What was planned to be finished yesterday, (I estimate now from a better view), will continue well into tomorrow.

The donation bags will be fuller. The shredding bag is heavier. Once that shredding is finished, old papers will be cleared out. My sewing supplies will be in one accessible place. My artwork materials are also going to be together.

Have a Wonderful & Productive Day
or two!

  1. I love decluttering but sometimes I get over-zealous and donate things I later wish I had kept. Then I always reorganize my stuff and forget where I put everything. The trials of having way too much stuff!

    1. Debra,
That is so true. What to donate and not miss is awful.
So far, I have 2 things bought from the thrift store that are going back under the no room and haven’t used it in years rules.

    1. Lorrie,
The good part is hopefully learning to better organize.

  4. Great. Doesn't it feel so good to get everything clean and declutter.

    1. Hena,
Yes, it does feel good. I walk into the room after each session to admire the progress.

  6. I make it a yearly project to go through every single thing in my sewing room which seems to serve a dual purpose - that of getting rid of some excess AND perhaps generating ideas for future projects by putting my hands on things I've forgotten I have.

    1. Maryanne,
The forgotten projects are nice to rediscover. I like your way of controlling your sewing room. I think doing that each year will make me happy and better organized.

    1. Becki,
      That is so true.
I have a sweater, nice fit except too short. Years ago I decided to add the bottom of a turtleneck to lengthen the sweater. It has hung in my closet for almost ten years. I forgot about it. Yesterday I took a break from the down sizing, to start sewing it up. Makes me smile.
