| Almost Spring |
What’s been going on out there in blog land? Being away this week under a stressful situation, returning feels like arriving home from a vacation I don’t remember taking.
Our emotion reserves have a personality that fits the cuteness of a dog with its face out the vehicle window joyfully breathing in all the glory life has to offer. Ah, if we could be chill as a happy pet.
My week has been interesting in that my approach to the stress was different. One tool is to pick one task and get it done. There are no dishes in my sink, (of note). A small file cabinet will have a new home. I’m enjoying going through the folders stored in it (that I see maybe once a year). I repaired most of the vintage lap quilt cover. (a fabric section from the 1940s added to a 1990s section.) I pushed through an anxiety surge to go out to lunch with a friend.
How has your week been?

My week has been so-so till my friend from Canada came to visit and that really helped the bumpy parts. I'm glad you were able to handle stress with productive activities!
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteA visit from a friend is wonderful. Catching up refreshes life with happiness and inspiration.

Our reactions to stress can differ and mine are often like your own. Keeping busy with other tasks tends to keep my mind off what’s going on that’s causing the stress. To answer the question, my week has gone fairly well with only a single potentially stressful issue that worked out ok with a second call to Apple tech support. Glad that yours is resolved as well.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice,
DeleteA call to tech support is frightening just reading the words. I am glad the problems are in the past.
Bravo! 👏

My stress levels seem to lower when I'm involved in a project in my sewing room and I find that busy days where there's no time to play make me feel all out of sorts. I can handle one day but any more than that and I get antsy.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteA routine to rely on can be a good source for reducing stress.
