Since smooth isn’t going well, What next?

If life does not flow as smoothly as you hope, then adjust your strategy.

Snafus will happen. Don’t fuss over the simple things you know can’t be avoided. If the road is closed for repairs, embrace the detour.

If, however, there are obstacles in your way, then look at both sides. Walk away, compromise or use your voice to speak truth.

There are times, after trying, you have to advocate for what is right. The hassle may not feel worth it, but the results of your efforts could make things smoother for you as well as others.

The catch is, don’t expect results that make sense. If for example, you are following a paper trail type issue where the answer depends on the decision of others.

A common sense answer supported by facts, may mean nothing to decision makers. When power balances are at play, there could be, I believe, no shortage of people who will not only throw you under the bus, they will drive it.

IMHO. The best you can do is document the facts. Use fewer words. Don’t speculate or offer reasons. Focus on Facts and a Clear objective. 

Feel good about yourself that you have done your best. Embrace your own detours with a nice smooth path forward to better days.
