As I know things to be, my opinions. I’m not a lawyer.
There is no doubt that if I had the money, I would have a lawyer to help me sort out websites using the Salty Pumpkin name.
In other words, I’m a poor nobody that doesn’t count.
In law it appears to me that commercial interests are the law. If you are a simple blogger, it appears to me, that without a trademark on your name, others can use your name to do business. Copyright does not cover titles.
It is, for example, not legal to publish your website as the blog for a name brand trademarked company unless you own that trademark.
If a website uses language that can confuse your blog with theirs, then you can ask that website to stop doing that.
Google doesn’t have a complaint feature that I’ve found to file for issues of misuse. If, for example you Google search keywords: blog salty pumpkin, then the first results will not be this blog because a foreign company posts as the salty pumpkin blog.
In other words, my 14 years as the search result for - blog salty pumpkin - doesn’t appear to matter.
