Reflection Monday February 2020
Ambition, goals, objectives
One late January 2020 day,
I set off to take photographs of the Adirondack Mountains covered in snow.
There is snow, but in the lower elevations, not as deep as I hoped.
Not all is lost...good coffee, pleasant people, beautiful scenery.
On the way home, as I'm getting closer to
the Addison Four Corners Store, that has homemade donuts
on Monday, Wednesday and Friday,
I realize, it is Wednesday.
Snowy peaks in the higher elevations of the Green Mountains of Vermont
I'm so glad I found your blog. There is a thoughtful and calm feeling about your words, and a sense that you're open to whatever's the next thing. And the priorities, keeping the homemade doughnuts in focus, always good.
ReplyDeleteHi Liz,
DeleteThank you. Glad I found your blog. Your blog post with your fresh flowers cheers up my day. This is the perfect time of year to see flowers.
Those homemade donuts, actually taste like old fashion homemade.
I'm glad you both found each other's blogs and wonder if I may have been the facilitating link ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Quinn,
DeleteYou are! The Boud name I do recall from your blog.
Thank you
Most of us have been snow deprived this year. Donuts on call.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne,
DeleteThis weekend snow is forecast, not much, but enough to make the most of reading while the snowflakes fall.
I remember the first time my father made donuts. It was better than meeting Santa. I thought until then only pies, cakes and cookies are made at home. I thought pastries had to be made in bakeries. Ah, to be young again.
Obviously meant to be (the donut thing). There's something so peaceful about mountains in the distance I think, although I am only guessing at that since we don't live anywhere near any.
ReplyDeleteHi Maryanne,
DeleteMountains do lend a sense of peacefulness to the landscape. They feel like Nature's afghan, keeping the valley comfy.
I so rarely have a donut, the homemade ones are a treat highlight.
That view is gorgeous. You must have been glad it happened to be a Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteHi Loree,
DeleteYes, I was very glad it was Wednesday. I felt blessed. lol
A beautiful view!
ReplyDeleteHi William,
DeleteYour Winterlude photos are a winter highlight.
