Think, Last Snowfall of Winter
Heavy snow covers bird seed too fast. In less than 20 minutes, what I cleared in the photo is now covered with snow.
Walking to yearly 8 AM medical exam was nice. Using my hiking stick, the going was slow as it could be slippery if not careful. The snowfall now at nearly 11 AM EDT is faster snd heavier.
Strange to see community activity in the snow...2 people, 1 dog....passed this way.
We have a state of emergency here in NY. So I don't hear much traffic out on these country roads. Lots of birds around our feeder, but it is getting harder to see seed on the ground. I can't wait for real spring weather!
ReplyDeleteDebra,
ReplyDeleteStay safe!
The snow is still coming down at a good clip here in Vermont. It is also windy.
I think I hear the plow in the parking lot.
The small plastic side table I put on the deck is acting as bird seed central. I clear space, but snow covers it in minutes except for under the table.
We have a declared S of O a bit north of here, but the snow isn't sticking here, just blowing, bitter wind. You're walking distance of your doctor? Thats very convenient.
ReplyDeleteYou are brave to walk to your appt. in the snow. I loved seeing the streets of your town with the snow. Remember all that snow we had? The rain washed most of it away, but there is still lots on the edges of the roads. We are supposed to get rain now!
ReplyDeleteHave a splendid rest of the week.

Really hope this is winter's last blast. Today it's been mainly sunny here and we escaped the predicted snow yesterday. I imagine it's too soon to say it's over though.
ReplyDeleteLovely wintry photos ~ do hope it is the last ~ we are getting rain at the moment ~ could change to snow over night ~
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Liz,
ReplyDeletePrayers all is well there
It is an uphill walk, though, to doctor's office. I have to go slow. Nice to get vitals after exercise. lol
Sheri,
ReplyDeletePrayers fo California
It has been a weird winter there.
Heavy wet snow, I wasn't a few feet out when I had a slight foot slide walking on a snow covered sidewalk. Shovel, minutes later, covered in snow. Walking safer than driving, I need the exercise. It wasn't that windy then.
Maryanne,
ReplyDeleteThe way weather has been, there's no telling what's next. Enjoy your sun!
Carol,
ReplyDeleteRain scares me this time of year when temps can go to freezing.
Spring showers are welcome though, above 40°F. lol
That's a lot of snow.
ReplyDeleteWe are having snow tonight and tomorrow. Hope it’s stopped there!
ReplyDeleteIt always surprises me how much snow you all can get out east. Once in a while we get big snows, but they seem to be the normal for you all. Even though I know that snow is icky and messy, and you'd rather not deal with it, but the pictures look pretty. Hopefully, it's short lived. I hope you stay safe, warm and dry, May.
ReplyDeleteWilliam,
ReplyDeleteMore snow is forecast this week. Fun times from Old Man Winter.
Marie,
ReplyDeleteThe snow is sprinkled throughout the week here. This morning, tiny bits of snow-sleet, slush everywhere.
Winter and Spring are doing catch up chat.
Becki,
ReplyDeleteThis winter at the lower elevation here, hasn't been a very snowy winter. A few of the storms missed us or weren't as snow giving as forecast. In the mountains, there has been more snow.
This doesn't look too bad compared to some I've seen but it might have been early. Boy, that's March for you. FIckle and unpredictable but always with something up its sleeve!
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
ReplyDeleteYes, we have been fortunate in this area that snowfalls haven't been as horrible as other places. It is melting now.
