What a great photo! I rarely see sparrows in our immediate locale and why that is I don't know. I see them in other parts of town so I know they're still around.
Sheri, The birds loved bathing in that stone ware au gratin dish. Sadly, it broke and I haven't found another at the thrift shop. Maybe switch to a round dish this year. :)
Just like that sparrow is contemplating its next move, I am sure you will be doing the same on your break, which we all need now and then. Enjoy yourself!
Also, thanks for visiting blogger friend, Jon's blog (Lone Wold Concerto) and leaving a comment. It was interesting to see how many folks commented on the cute puppy and granddaughter without a mention of a fellow blogger. Perhaps, others will comment on his blog as well.
Beatrice, Sorry I forgot to tell Jon I was linking from your blog. I think he can see the link info on his stats. I added a reply on your comment there. You are right, his blog is different. I like his frankness.
I wish I had the energy for artwork that the dust has that accumulates by the minute in my home. :)
Good luck to you :-)) Our strawberry fields have also been opened and everyone can pick and buy the berries themselves, right on the field. The day before yesterday we went picking for the first time, I made strawberry jelly cake and 6 jars of jam and also eat fresh berries... as much as possible :-))) hug Viola
I am slowing down posting this summer too. I am enjoying instagram so far-as I can just scan through photos of things I am following that are of interest to me. enjoy your time off social medial hugs

ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
ReplyDeleteSparrows seem to have favorite places. When shrubs are gone, they move on to another.
What a sweet picture. That sparrow looks like she wants to dive in the water. Have a nice break, and I'll be here when you return. : )

Weather has been mostly dreary, Carol. Today, more rain early with a hazy sky afternoon. No matter because I have plenty to do indoors.
