Reflection Monday July 2023

The current social atmosphere in America today is very sour. People can no longer voice their opinions without the very real worry they will be seriously harmed in various ways, property, physically, emotionally, their family, reputation, career, job.

This is REAL folks.

Their are people, good American people that seriously believe lies, despite multiple facts, evidence and eye witness testimony that clearly beyond a reasonable doubt reveals the truth.

Let's forgive ourselves and move forward. There is a huge amount of women and men that can do good things for America. Please, put effort to knowing who they are in the political arena.

Please, Don't give omnipotent status to any person.

Your vote is precious.
Please Protect America
and yourselves by
Voting wisely

  4. I think that some people twist the truth around, and it becomes a real situation that divides us. It's very deceiving, but my friend, the truth always comes out in the end. The truth has a way of working things out.

    Happy 4th!

  8. Jeanie,
    Thank you

Political leaning posts turn out better when written days ahead, and edited by the rule: Do I need to say that?

  9. Sheri,
    You are right.

The way folks spin the truth is bad enough. The media adding to it makes it worse.

    Happy 4th of July!

  12. Yes but we must be patriots and fight back-stand up for the truths

  13. Kathy,
    I totally agree.

The problem is leadership worth standing up for, on all sides. I keep praying somebody with step up that hasn't been running, in the news, shooting off their mouth, alienating people like so many politicians tend to do.

    America needs new leaders.

  17. Sometimes I wonder if the advent of the internet has led to the downfall of society as we knew it. Of course, perhaps all that would have happened anyway but I tend to think that it's too simple for people to hide behind internet anonymity and throw all sorts of trash out there to be then shared as being gospel truth by those who feed on those sorts of things. Donald AH being a case in point.
When it comes to voting it worries me that the majority of sane people don't bother to vote because they figure there's no point because their voices won't be heard. I was taught that not voting meant you had absolutely no right to complain about the government - plus there's the fact that women had to fight so hard to be even allowed to vote at all. It also seems that those that put their names forth to hold office are often total wingnuts and decent people are afraid to come forward. The recent election for a new mayor of Toronto had over a hundred (!!) candidates, one of which was a dog (literally). Never did hear how many votes it got.
    Happy, albeit belated now, Fourth!

    You make very good sense.

Not to brag...Fair Haven, Vermont, elected a goat and a dog as mayor. 😎
