Farewell August 2023

Earth's Blue Supermoon

Vergennes, Vermont

Through the window, I was able to see the Supermoon after midnight. I took a few photographs through the window. One is good enough to post.

Earlier there was cloud cover.

Supermoon behind the clouds

Farewell August 2023. I prayed for more sunshine. Alas, the weather patterns were already in motion around the Earth. It has been thirty-one days to remember, including all the raindrops and chill in the air.

  1. Beautiful last day of August here, cool, sunshine, great air quality, just all well. Yesterday's rain finally cleared up and I saw the full moon later in the evening. Lovely.

  2. I wanted to see the Blue Moon, but didn't get out last night to see it. A pretty photo. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow and Saturday.

Wishing you very good September days.

  7. Sheri,
Enough rain to end a drought is the hope.

  8. Carol,
Fleeting is for sure the best description of the days flying by. Happy September!

  9. Jeanie,
Going outdoors to late at night doesn't feel as adventurous as it once did. There's too many creatures out and about.
    Happy September!

  10. Happy Labor Day Weekend Kathy & Larry!

I imagine your lake will be busy this last full weekend of the summer. Many schools are in session already.

  11. I guess we're lucky that we can sit in our living room and see the moon...no effort required. Unfortunately my little camera doesn't lend itself to getting any decent pictures.
I'm hoping September stays warm to make up for our late spring but we'll see.

  12. Maryanne,
That's wonderful to have a Moon view!
September is forecast to be warmer in the Southeast, cool in the Northeast. I think we'll be warmer anyway.
