A strange thing, when I look at old photographs,  I remember more of them than I'm finding. The folders have been checked to locate some photos. I have an uneasy feeling not all the pictures made the transfer to the memory stick.
All of the above images are taken from my Blog archive. Searching online for this blog's images doesn't work well because Google results show more pumpkin seed recipes than this blog's content.

Make a note, if your blog has a food item in the title, then you take the chance of your blog being buried in recipes on Google after the top few search results.

Have a Colorful Weekend!

Bake an apple crisp
Make French Onion Soup
Toast buttery garlic bread for the soup

  1. French onion soup would be perfect. Hmmm…thank you for the idea.

  2. Marie,
It is more fun having a nice hot cheese globbed bowl bottom French onion soup to celebrate autumn than a pumpkin spice latte. :)

  3. MMm. French Onion Soup has been on my mind lately, too. So much better than a pumpkin spice latte, as you've said.
Some gorgeous colour in your photos!

  5. Lorrie,
There is something about French onion soup that feels comfortable, and easy.

  6. Janice,
I saw past peak foliage in some places today, and other full of golds and oranges.

  8. Kathy,
No frost locally here, but I've heard reports of alerts in other areas. Enjoy the autumn colors!

  9. Oh, I loved seeing these photos of Vermont's Autumn. I especially like the three leaves with the different Fall colors. And that country road got to me as well. I smiled at "make French Onion Soup." It was always a tradition to make that on Christmas Eve. This is a wonderful post you shared today.

  10. I love the first two photos - perfect for paintings (at least to my untrained eye!).
No thanks to Stephen King! I tried reading one of his books and managed to scare the wits out of myself so no more.
French Onion Soup - hmmmm, wandering off in search of the Resident Chef....

  11. Sheri,
Most of the photos will be paintings, hopefully before spring. :)
Homemade French onion soup is the best. Canned soups are overloaded with too much salt.

  12. Maryanne,
Julia Child's original episode making French Onion Soup was when I fell in love with the soup. It is the Drambuie of soups, best on a cold day with the wind howling.

  13. Thank you, William
It's difficult to realize that peak foliage season is over.
