Half Way There Wednesday

A fascination with clothespins [2005]
A Cozy snowfall
I bought marshmallows yesterday.
A covid pandemic era banner

No words Wednesday?
Waiting for the ferry?
Life at still
Not sure what that is
Looks like apple muffins?

P.S.
About forgeting the blog subject I was keen to post about,
I'm half way there. I remember the shirt I was wearing.
It will be draped over a chair to help shake out the memory.

  1. What fun photos. I love your Covid banner -- unfortunately, it would be as timely today.

  3. Jeanie,
Unfortunately is so true. There's a bit of surge on covid around here for a few months now. I see more folks out wearing masks as well.

    Stay safe!

  4. Lisa,
There are some fields that are dotted with dozens of hay roll marshmallows. It is a fun sight to see.

  5. What a nice variety of photos. I love the clothespin photo and the bird with the snow on his beak. It took me a few looks to figure out it was a bird. :)

  6. Bill,
It is hilarious to see the bird beaks covered in snow after a light powder snowfall. I leave a small space in the curtain, and use zoom to get the pictures without scaring them away.

  10. While I have been away from blog reading and commenting for a while, it is always enjoyable to see your photos whether or not they are accompanied by any words. Quite often, none are needed as the images say it all. The cardinal did look a bit unhappy with the snow beak. I am waiting for our first flurries, none yet and with a 60-degree day predicted later this week, it may be awhile longer.

  11. Carol,
The other birds get the same snowy beak after a powder snowfall. It is hilarious.

  12. Beatrice,
I look forward to your holiday decorations.
This is the first week we've had steady cold temperatures in this lover Vermont elevation. I'm sure flurries aren't far away from where you live.

  14. Cathy,
    That's a good idea.
Once folks start being indoors more from the cold, stuff seems to go around faster. Stay Safe!

  17. Oh, I have yet to see the red cardinal. I don't see them here in California, and it's always been a dream of mine to see one. That BIG marshmallow is something else! And I love the cozy snowfall.

  18. I can almost hear that cardinal singing 'baby, it's cold outside'.

  19. Sheri,
Cardinals around here are regulars. Usually there's one pair and maybe when it gets real cold, more will show up.

  20. Cardinals are winter residents in these parts.

  21. William,
You can hear cardinals in the afternoon around here. In winter, it is easier to see them, mostly late afternoon.
    Have a wonderful weekend
