A comment from moi:
Society is saturated with embracing image. What we see, in reality or photographs, how we process the truth,
need not be swayed with our romance with beauty.
An old man can have more truth and beauty in him,
than any liar ever will.
Oh I don't know if I 'm ready to think about 2025 just yet. I look forward to your soda bottle sculpture and am intrigued with the idea of writing a letter to your front door.
ReplyDeleteHena,
DeleteThe front door letter is the one that sparks my imagination most. I don't usually think of it as a dynamic place, but it is.
He sure can!
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteI hope folks will take to heart the wisdom of age.
What a good to-do list! It would be a good day to bake!
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteThe weather has been windy and warm today here in Vermont.Yesterday was blustery bring on the soup!
That photo would definitely make a beautiful painting! Good suggestions to play with over the long weekend, and your last sentence - well said.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteI heard that in the summer, the falls are lit up with colors.
I hope to get there to takes some pictures.
I like your verse at the end. Beauty is everywhere on social media, and that's ok, but it's far better to have beauty inside us. Your lists are always enchanting. I often wonder what 2025 will be like, but we still have much of 2024, and it's been a good one so far. ; )
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful Sunday, friend.
~Sheri
A peaceful week to you, Sheri
DeleteThinking about 2025, somehow makes 2024 more tidy for me.
There are so many attractive women and men posting selfies on Twitter, I gets depressing sometimes. And scary because some appear to have image issues.
My last weekend of June was spent stitching in my fav spot catching up on tv shows I taped. I hpe you had a marvelous one! Janice
ReplyDeleteJanice,
DeleteYour weekend sounds lovely.
I went to the store for my 4th of July lunch stuff.
As I was walking to the checkout, I felt a sharp burning sensation on my neck. I thought something was on the strap of my purse. In line, I ask the woman standing in the line next to me if she sees a red mark there. She and her mother lean over...and Wham! The mother says it is on your back! She whacks it off. It was hilarious! Folks looked alarmed until they saw the bee on the floor. No stinger. I put a wet salted band aid on it, and a cold glass mocha bottle. I'm fine.
