Thunderstorms

It rained so hard (sideways even) earlier this afternoon, that it sounded and looked from my patio window, I was in a car wash.

I've heard some seriously grumbling thunder close from the storm cells that are passing over Vergennes as well as south of use towards Middlebury.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.

If you can see the sky in some areas, watching becomes real.

Stay safe folks!

      Janice,
Lightening events today from those storms, 13,012, and 2.34 inches of rain in the region!

  2. Yes, keep us informed. We have had some overcast days, and it's been a little cooler, and I'm wondering if some rain is on the forecast. Stay safe, my friend.

      Sheri,
Some ooos when outdoors air lit up yellow in the daytime. No ground hits nearby though.

  3. Here too but at least ours came down straight so I could leave the windows open.

    1. Marie,
For sure! Anyone caught in the downpour would have been thoroughly soaked.

  5. I used to love thunderstorms but not so much anymore. I think it's because they seem to be getting stronger and a whole lot more scary.

    1. Maryanne,
You are right about more scary. When the storm pass directly over us, the thunder seems to have a deeper grumbling sound than I recall.
