A Sad Farewell to July 2024

Summer Sandals

Using my cell phone to blog is a trip into a science fiction adventure. The settings on my phone are different. I’m not sure why  URL, that the page is on, is rejected when it is entered to  allow me to post using my Google name. Remember the days when computer programming, circa 1980s, was such a mystery swirling around the languages used? I struggle to recall the names. Cobalt? No, COBOL!
Anyway, to Blogger when I am signed in, I am anonymous when leaving comments. Not a mood changer, but reason to have a silly ponder it moment.

July 2024 will be missed for being a summer with warm enough ambient temperatures to create some very nice days to be outdoors.

August. High Summer it is in my mind. Solid season, knowing if you don’t get in the water early month, then it will be chilly water to frolic in. The next four weeks are vacation zones, each one with a new robe to wrap around us as autumn giggles with a frosty grin. I am not looking forward to fall because I want summer to last longer, in a nice way. Putting sandals in storage is always sad for me.

Are you having a nice summer?

  1. I'm very much enjoying this summer. We've had some very hot weather, but not unbearable, and lately, a little refreshing rain and cooler temperatures, with a forecast that indicates a warming trend. Time in the garden, time outdoors, time with friends and family - what more could I ask? I like autumn, but always feel a bit of sadness to see summer fade away.

It is good news your summer is going well. Good weather is a bonus.

  2. It is hot and humid, not something we are accustomed to. Hey…it’s summer though! Love it! Love those sandals too.

  3. I wouldn't have a clue how to transfer anything from my cell phone to the computer. I took a few pictures with the phone just to see if it worked - and then, for the life of me, couldn't transfer them to the computer so that was shelved. I marvel at people who can write their blog posts on their phone - but not my forte.
Hard to believe it's August already and pretty soon we'll be heading towards frost. I don't want to think about it.

    1. Maryanne,
My iphone doesn't transfer photos to the computer like the rest of the devices in the world. There is something about the being stored in iCloud, whatever and wherever that is. There are no cords or adapters to transfer the pictures.
I have to email my iphone pics to download them to my computer.

August is here for use, in hopefully kind and happy ways.

  5. I am enjoying this summer more than I have enjoyed summer in a long time. The garden keeps me heading outside every day, and provides me some good exercise. I usually love when autumn shows up, but I might just miss summer this time around.
