Day 285 of Week 41 October 2024

Robert Frost Interpretative Trail
October 2022

Well folks, this is it, foliage time, leaf peeping season, the peak of all that is autumnal. Coffee on foggy mornings, frosty cobwebs, pumpkin spice muffins, and birds flying by that don't have time to stop and chat. With all that is going on in the World at home and abroad, embrace the Nature of your heart to enjoy the fall.

My thoughts, after taking out winter clothes and putting away most of summer fashions, are on sweaters. I browsed online this morning. I found two I really like on sale. I thought about the extra load of laundry, and, the fact that I do not need another sweater. I didn't buy. I went on my merry way.

Have a Very Merry Fall Weekend!

Bake a squash with cinnamon
Read a funny short story
Draw a pumpkin patch
Attend a local festival
Shop leather gloves online
Check your vehicle winter kit
Watch the Hocus Pocus film
Sing to a falling leaf

  1. I haven’t been clothes shopping in ages. I hope to continue that trend. My closet is bulging.

    1. Marie,
A bulging closet I can relate to.
There's a bag of winter clothes by the door.

  2. I sometimes enjoy browsing online but rarely buy. It's just a little fantasy, I think. Nice with a cup of tea.

    1. Liz,
Absolutely a fantasy nice time browsing online.
Before AI, searching online was happier. I'm tired of the AI program shopping like I'm not even there.

  3. We taped Hocus Pocus 2, however we did see it last year already. Had to turn on the furnace this morning when we got home to take the chill out of the air. Autumn is in full swing here now. Janice

      Furnace time!
Autumn is in full swing here in Vermont as well.
I boxed up the window air conditioner today. It is raining and breezy. No heat on yet.

  4. What a pretty photo with glorious Autumn colors. I do need some sweaters myself - it's getting cold here, especially in the mornings. Speaking of Hocus Pocus film. I will share Jess and Nel's time in Salem recently, and one of the film locations of Hocus Pocus. Do stop by if you get a chance.

    1. Jan,
This year the colors are very vibrant. The area around town is now reaching peak. There's an autumn at every elevation here in Vermont.
