Day 306 of Week 44 November 2024

Hello November
is dealing with his list, I've been writing one about the little glitches in life that sprinkled aggravation on me. They're like the Sandman helping me sleep, only the glitches sprinkle me with wake-up dust.

How awake am I?

I read a perfect article title thinking there's the answer I'm looking for. It could be if I read through the entire article to find it. Even then, the answer is not always clear. Headlines do not always deliver what they promise.

Is this the era of being misled? Shady lures pulling us in a direction we might not want? AI generated fakes dicing up reality in a salad of duh on us?

Methinks the answer is yes. We are in an era of being misled, It isn't just the efforts of foreign interest bent on sabotaging democracy. The advertising industry and politicians have also been stringing us along. I can read a description of a product that isn't complete. For example, the materials used may not be all listed or the country of origin is left out. Imported covers most of Earth.

Instead of pondering how awake I am, aware of sensitive social issues, I might ask myself how authentic is the life that I lead.

In January 2024 I was keen on making changes in my life. Small things building to a new way of doing things was the focus.  Life became a stop and think endeavor. Thus far, I believe I would live better if I included a regular event like going to church, attending lectures, art shows at galleries or joining a group .

  1. Well I hear conflicting stories here in Michigan. Lots of snow. Not so much snow. Warm Winter and even a cols one...so who knows. Will deal with it when it comes. Janice

  3. AI totally freaks me out. We get to the point where we don't believe anything and that's not good either. I want a light winter; we'll live with what we get.

  6. Being part of a community is said to be very important for mental and physical health as we age. I like the idea of singing to the clouds.

    1. Lorrie,
The thing about singing to the clouds is finding a spot where nobody can hear me.

  8. I hate the fact that we're being forced to be suspicious of pretty much everything that surrounds us. Gone are the days of having any trust in our fellow man and I wonder if it will ever return.

    1. Maryanne,
I expect we'll all have at an attitude like people do that live in New York City...always aware of our surroundings.

  9. I made a pumpkin pie served with ice cream and a mug of hot chocolate...next time it will be apple pie and vanilla ice cream😋 The older a cemetery is, the more interesting and walking through and reading tombstones is very informative too.
