Sheri, The sprout is a bachelor's button. Old seeds, I don't expect many will germinate. So far there are two. Left are a zinnia mix and right are yellow poppies. Six jiffy pots in all, most being poppies and one nigella.
Oh, that would be nice if the poppies sprouted up. Our California state flower is the Orange Poppy. I will see them bloom all over the creek area when Spring arrives. : )
The RC is champing at the bit to start his tomato and pepper seeds but he knows it's too soon, particularly with all the snow that's yet to melt. Trying to figure a way to be able to grow more on our little balcony because every little bit will help with the cost of groceries.
We need them for sure!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that, Marie
DeleteWell done! A first sign of what is to come!
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteThe sprout has a companion sprout on the opposite side.
A lovely sentiment today. What are you planting there in those pots?
