Oh, What a Windy Day!
Adirondack Mountains Upstate New York Lake Champlain ~ March 2025 |
Draggin' I be.
Sunny and very windy out my door today. A good putting the clothes out on the clothesline to watch them spin around the line day.
It is 64ºF (17ºC) here in Vermont in the middle of March. Not to worry, spring starts next Thursday, 20 March 2025.
I have a lot of blog reading to catch up on. Not as much as my laundry, but significant just the same.
March Shadows on Snow |
This time of year, shadows on the snow are magical. They are not easy to photograph. In the last photo, I was trying to capture a squirrel, but it ran off the closer I got. That squirrel was not draggin' like I am today after a morning of hassles.
My Not Public Information cell phone number was recently posted online. Grrr time. Changing it takes a lot of work sending out adjustments. There are websites where you cannot log in to change your phone number because they want to send you a code via the number you no longer have access to.
Most states don't sell voter information. The US Post Office, banks and such don't sell customer information.
I'm going to write local legislators to ask that they consider a bill in Vermont that will fine companies and persons for publishing a person's contact information without permission, require them to notify the person if contact info is posted, require the company making the info public to verify the source, and verify the contact information is legally from a public information source.
And to think, today is only Tuesday.
😎
That is awful about your phone and what a hassle too Lovely photos we are in the high 70's this week with sunshine. feels wonderful Have a good rest of your week-thanks for visiting
ReplyDeleteKathy,
DeleteReading there are more boats on the lake there is as good as seeing bulbs breaking ground.

That's too bad that your private info. got on the internet somehow. I never have a public number, so that helps with that. The photo of the snow with the shadows is really nice. Speaking of snow, we are supposed to get some snow and rain tomorrow! Our Winter, like yours, is not over yet. ; ) Have a splendid week.

Sheri,
DeleteGoogling your name to see what’s going on is a good idea. That’s how I found my not public cell phone number online. There are websites that sell the contact info they gather. I thought it strange to leave a comment, a phone number is required. I just now remember where that is.

Oh my word - what a hassle!!! I would be beyond PO'd if my phone number got hacked. On another aspect of that, it makes me so mad when web sites insist on wanting to know your phone number before allowing you to do anything because I just KNOW they are going to share it. AND the ones that insist on you giving them your cell phone # and don't acknowledge that all you use is a landline.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteSpot on!
I just now I remembered a recent website does ask for a phone number. Duh on me. I’m still ticked my private number was published. There has to be legislation to protect folks.

The shadows across the snow are strong and beautiful. Soon it will all be gone. Do you have a muddy season in spring?
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about your private number being listed.
Lorrie,
DeleteMud season usually begins in March around here. It is the time of year when a lot of vehicles look the same color. 🤣
Good luck with the number issue. Hope change is quicker to happen there than it is here.
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteAs popular as the Internet is, I think it is very lacking of our legislators to not have passed laws to protect private contact information. If they catch on to the fine aspect bringing in money to the state, then maybe there is hope.
