Irony, Loneliness & Laughter
Recent security log in on a few websites I visit has decided to use a 2-step verification without asking me.
What I now need in order to log in is to have a pen and paper handy to write down codes, and, a clear mind to understand the directions. The irony is pen and paper to use a cyber feature. I will not chuckle over it. It feels more deserving of a melodious belch from beer number 4.

A Lone Canada Goose |
Sad though, the Canada goose appears to be alone. I saw no others in the area. When I first stopped to take a photo, the goose vocalized in a low voice. I could barely hear the sounds. I hope he or she found the flock.

You know how garden centers have those little seed packets, usually on a revolving rack. Well, when ordering online the photo you see may not be on a seed packets. How did I figure that out?
It’s like this. I ordered ornamental corn seeds from Burpees. Pretty photo. (I plan to use the corn plants as a screen on my deck and for autumn display.)
Today the seeds arrive in the mail. Hm? Methinks there’s a lot of shaking in the bag.
That is because the 8 or so seeds I thought would be in a packet are 200 hundred seeds in a small pouch! That ‘s right, 200 hundred ornamental corn seeds! I could plant a small field of ornamental corn.
It is hilarious to me I paid no attention to the amount because I was using my seed packet brain.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hate passwords etc. I write then down too.
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteA whole page scribbled with code numbers, I might frame it as a reminder of a fun day. 🤣
Passwords are so frustrating. No one could ever remember them all.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny about the corn seeds - maybe you can share them with friends.
Lorrie,
DeleteCorn seeds are decreasing as I gave about a dozen out yesterday.. Ordering that many makes for a long lasting smile.

Don't start me on passwords. I hope your goose finds its flock or its mate.
ReplyDeleteJeanie, It broke my heart to leave the goose there alone.

I'm sorry to admit I laughed when I read about the corn seeds because I can see me doing the exact same thing! If you have a Freecycle in your area, perhaps you could parcel them up in smaller quantities and offer them up to takers.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne, That’s a good idea. I have thoughts about leaving little bags of them at the library if they allow it.

The number of passwords we are expected to recall can be exhausting and, of course, the caution is to make them unique and lengthy. I too have a separate listing which is updated regularly.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice,
DeleteThe back and forth with codes and captchas is ridiculous. I give up on some websites they are such a stupid hassle. A smart hassle I can deal with.

There are now so many passwords for everything, it's hard to remember them, ugh. That sky photo is very mysterious and lovely as ever. I love those seed packets at the stores. I sometimes just buy a couple cause they are pretty. ; ) We call them Canadian Geese here, and they are usually always with their family. Their honk is LOUD, warning the others that someone is near. I used to see them at the cemetery and take pictures.

Sheri,
DeleteA lone Canada goose like that must be rare. There are always others in the area. I wonder if it can fly. Maybe the reason it didn’t honk loud is because it had been honking for so long.
