Welcome August!
A bit of trivia.
Today is my birth due date, (the day I was due to be born). Instead, to the great displeasure of my mother, I waited a few weeks.
Have a lovely Earth Weekend!
Skip rocks
Have a hot fudge sundae
with blueberry ice cream
Browse wicker furniture online
Sit & sketch outdoors
Read about sailboats
Update your first aid kits
Dance with your shadow
Attend a county fair
... and there are quite a few fairs and gatherings in August.
ReplyDeleteHappy birth due date and happy actual birthday for later this month.
All the best Jan
Thank you, Jan

I've never seen blueberry ice cream and now I want it. Hmmm - perhaps mix some frozen blueberries into vanilla ice cream?
ReplyDeleteThe country fairs are starting here so that's a sure sign that fall is on the way.
Maryanne,
DeleteGood point, fairs are like the harbinger of fall. I see fall things in stores already. I didn’t look to be sure if it is Halloween stuff to avoid that reality.
Frozen blueberries, sugar and milk, cream or half & half will make blueberry ice milk and cream.

Blueberry ice cream sounds intriguing. I love summer days.

My favorite rocking chair I had was made out of wicker. It was sturdy with an unusual design, and I loved it. Through the years, it started to fall apart, so I ended up giving it away. But I sure liked that chair. I would sit there with my coffee, think, pray, and just relax. Thanks for that memory this morning.
ReplyDeleteHappy month of August!

Sher,
DeleteI hope you have another wicker lovely chair.

I never thought of hot fudge with blueberry ice cream. In fact, I don't think I ever thought of blueberry ice cream!
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteIn an ice cream parfait, blueberry ice cream under crushed pineapple is a real treat.
