My first reaction when I received an email about the iphone 17, I felt the here-we-go-again slouch.
A week later, my iphone is acting weird, page freezes, keyboard glitches or no response to some things I click on.
Hm? Is it time to trade in for an upgrade? I browse the Internet for the shopping page that helps you decide. To my surprise on an ATT page, the results are for an iphone 16.
First, I have to know the plan I already have. Second, I need to know my phone service features. Lastly, I have to search online reviews and iphones.
The best part, IMHO, is that I know where the local ATT phone store is to get help.
How do you decide when to upgrade?
I just need a new phone but that thought of switching over exhausts me.
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteExhausting, I agree. That is why I prefer to upgrade at the ATT store. I may not leave with what I planned on, but I know better why what I have is best.

I live in dread of a phone upgrade and I only have a really simple phone that isn't even connected to the internet. If/when I have to upgrade I will throw myself at the mercy of the techie person in the store. As a further note, it seems that Windows10 will no longer be 'supported' as of the end of October so that means I will likely have to upgrade the computer too. Don't know why they have to mess with something that's worked well (well, yes I do - they have to justify their existence AND come up with a way to make yet more money).
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteI agree. Technology upgrades is about the money and a way to push against the competition. We are caught in needing them.

I don't need a new phone, but I'm planning to purchase an Iphone 17 because of its camera. My smaller camera is just not working well and it's the second one I've had. For the same money I can get a new phone with an excellent camera. I'll still keep my larger camera for other photography.
ReplyDeleteI find the constant upgrading rather tiresome and wasteful. And a lot of work!
Lorrie,
DeleteThe camera is a bug draw with me as well. My iphone 13 camera is horrible, lousy zoom. As for cameras, I’m considering going back to an inexpensive FinePix.
