Do you ever get tired of not feeling well, not free of aches and pains? m
Once, many years ago I had to take a strong pill that I usually always refuse or insist taking no more than 2-3 days. I’m not big on pills, never have been. For the day I took that medication, I was shocked that all my usual aches and pains were gone.
It was that one time I had the opportunity to feel the contrast between my daily 24/7 life versus feeling good. Like tinnitus since early childhood, I became used to aching because it is part of me.
Humans are fascinating creatures in how we adapt to all sorts of things in life.
In answer to the question, yes, I do get tired of not feeling well. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t do things well. Life is a lot about attitude.

“Life is a lot about attitude.” I couldn’t agree more.
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteWith all that’s going on in the world, a good attitude is important.

I have tinnitus as well-have had it for a very long time-sometimes I don't even hear it because I'm so used to it. Other times it's way too loud.
ReplyDeleteI am blessed that I don't have pain in my body and mostly I feel good. It is a true blessing.
Debra,
DeleteGettin use to it builds that skill for other things as well, IMHO.
When I take aspirin especially, the ringing is louder.
I wanted to wish you a happy Thanksgiving too...
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Debra! 🦃
DeleteOh, that squirrel goes along with your last words perfectly hehehehe. I do hope you feel better and the aches and pains go away. I've had tinnitus before as well, very annoying. Have a splendid November week.

Sheri,
DeleteA Wonderful week to you!
Squirrels have a lot of attitude for sure.
Presently, I’m dealing with dental extractions on day 3, better but still very sore. I miss being able to chew.
I hear you. I'm used to it. But I do get tired of not feeling fully me with some issue or another on any given day. I still work to capacity (sometimes beyond and I pay for it) but it's a lot harder than it used to be.
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteWell put. Adjusting is a skill.
Yoga seems to be a practice you can adjust to your ability that can help ease aches. Getting up and down to do yoga can be entertaining. I’m for at home in private style yoga. 🤣
Life is about attitude - you are so right! I refuse to give in to my age, although sometimes my body has other plans.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteThat is true.
Knees going bad ages me 20 years.
