Thought Dusting

Ever wake up thinking you don’t have any thoughts about what to do that day?
You’re a piece that fits into slots as usual?
Doing basic things but nothing major?

You aren’t bored or bland thinking. There is energy and a good mood going on. You have plenty of interests to pursue. It isn’t Sunday or your first day of retirement. So, what is it?

I’m not sure.

How we structure our time is a fascinating subject. In my mind, it is akin to the study of linguistics, interesting in a confusing way that leaves you feeling smart without understanding why.

A few years ago I posted about a fun word exercise where you write down (randomly) your favorite 100 words. After a few months or more, write another list and compare with the last. I did that for 3 rounds. Thus far, I haven’t found the folder with my lists. A new list is in order.

When a day arrives without major plans, visit things that have slipped to the side to gather dust.
