After posting every day in January, I am glad to see the face of February soon to smile on this blog. Posting daily has not been easy. Having a subject list to post from is a good idea. If I go for a post all month in the future, then I will use a subject list.
So, just in case, I jot down ideas for the second month of the year.
Fun holiday creation
Cooking squash soup
Best garlic bread
Comfy winter warmth tips
Ideas vs realities
Garden planning
Why so much tomato
What are you reading
A spirit crew
Click bait
The dilemma of monetizing
What does an ear receiver do to the brain
I will add other ideas and eliminate a few. A flexible list, none are written in stone. A positive about list using is that it gives time to research as well as write a better post.
Do you post from a list? If yes, then what stands out for you?

I keep an idea list for weeks when we haven’t been out much. I only post one a week though. I’d never be able to keep a daily blog entry going.
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteRandom posting fits a personal style blog. Every day posting loses the lightness of blogging.
I don’t want to post every day.

I don't post from a list but if I get an idea for a post, I might start it as a draft and return to it when I feel like working on it. I have trouble keeping up with blogs that post every day! Not to mention doing it -- so well done! I like your February list!
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteWriting down ideas is a Very good practice!
Last year at least 3 good ideas were lost because I didn’t remember them. I can still feel the disappointment from one last summer. 🤣

I do not write from a list. Instead, I use the pictures we took throughout the week to guide me through my post. Sometimes, if I have ideas on a topic, I will quickly start the post so I at least capture that thought!
ReplyDeleteJim & Barb,
DeletePhotos as a list is a good idea.
I think with a word or two reminder, putting pictures in a folder will be helpful for blogging.

I usually have a few posts ready in draft.
ReplyDeleteI always keep in mind that blogging should be enjoyable and we should each post and blog when we want to.
Enjoy these last few January days and early good wishes for the coming new month of February.
All the best Jan
Jan,
DeleteDrafts and scheduling post is a good direction.
I tried it this week going forward 4 days. It has been enjoyable to have posts ready.

No, I do not do blog posts from a list. Instead, posts are based on travels, interests and things that just happen to interest me at the moment. I do keep photo files on the PC and sometimes these are used for a post. I do not blog daily usually once or twice a week and this week am up to 3 times but that is not the norm. My posts tend to be rather longish because I never seem to be at a loss for words somehow.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice,
DeleteYou are a good writer. Your posts are well written and interesting to read.

Thank you, May, when something interests me, I like to write about it.
ReplyDeleteI don't use a list when I blog but usually have a post in draft that I add to when I get a chance (primarily for the links I post). Posting three times per week seems to work well for me at this point, although I did feel honour-bound to post daily when I first started blogging. Daily posts are HARD to keep up with so I admire you for sticking to it.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteThe end of January is a welcome sight to me. Going the list
route is in my future.
