For years, I kept a pinwheel on a post anchored in an umbrella stand. As an alternative to a wind sock, the spin is entertaining. This year, though, a wind sock is a possibility.

I fear a wind sock wouldn’t last too long here. It would blow away.

DeleteThe shiny pinwheels from a discount store don’t last long. The thick plastic ones need to be secured down well.

We have a twirling garden ornament that I enjoy watching go round and round on windy days. Sturdiness is the key!
