Day 86 of Week 13 March 2026

Next week when April 2026 begins, I think it will be nice to start the first day with a moment of thanks that Winter 2026 is really over. A long cold and snowy Winter is comforting in that it is a winter being winter.

However, the brain wants the warmth, the sunshine, blue skies. That sounds poetic. April is Poetry Month.

Have a poetic weekend

Draw a houseplant
Arrange a vase of flowers
Bake herbed veggies
Read about pollen
Browse Steampunk art online
Design your logo
Make parsley pesto

  1. I know what you mean about April. We've had snow and ice before -- but rarely and it truly does feel like spring.

    1. Jeanie,
Snow in Spring is sugar snow, named for maple sugaring time. Y’all have sugar ice as well.
The 55°F temperature here yesterday still had a tint of chill in the air.
Now it is wear the right jacket weather. 😂

  2. A year ago we were dealing with a huge ice storm so I doubt we're out of the woods yet. I never feel that winter is fully done until mid-May and even then it can come back and bite me.

What amazing mixed weather Spring brings ... but I still like the season.

Very nice photograph of the spider plant and basket.

    All the best Jan

      Jan,
Wintery mix is often heard in spring. It isn't the best weather report to hear.
I'm going to enjoy being indoors when it happens.

  4. Parsely is good that way. Cilantro works too. Yum. With cashews.

  5. Baked herbed veggies sound delicious. I'll give that a try soon. Cool photo.
