Very pretty photo. Have you tried shopping at ALDI? Excellent deals, depending on each person. For our house, great deals. Here's to saving not spending.
ReplyDeleteIvy,
DeleteAldi closest store is about 2 hours away. I will check it out when I travel this summer. Thanks for the tip

Oh, wow, that's a far drive to save some pennies. Hope you find a good when when traveling. What I love about them is they are small an instead of 18 different kinds of crackers, they have a small handful and that's it. Same with other items.
DeleteI understand and agree completely.
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteI can still feel the shock of seeing Hamburg priced at $9.99.

Beautiful pansy! And yes, days of disbelief is a good description of the current times. Prices are rising everywhere. We have started increasing the stock in our pantry bit by bit...not panic buying, but prudent slow additions of staples. Our family out west want us to fly out to visit but the price will be really high and there's apparently a lot of flights being cancelled at the last minute, so we'd just as soon stay home, much as we want to see our family.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteIs taking a train an option y’all can consider? The railway across Canada films make riding by train even better. My brother encouraged me last summer to stock up. I’m reading expiration dates on cans in my pantry now to get ready to fill in things already.

I would love to take the train but it costs at least three times as much as it is to fly. Mind you, if the fuel costs keep rising perhaps that might change.
DeleteWow! I thought the train is cheaper.
DeleteGas up today was $29.34 for 7.622/gals at $3.85/gal at the low price place off the beaten path.
Most gas stations are just over $4.00/gal.
