Today’s weather forecast has possible snow flurries predicted. I have seen snowflakes falling on this day. In the distant clouds, many have signs of falling snow. Seeing Nature being busy creates in me a sense of well being. Well being that there are elements on Earth that are dependable.
Pot hole season is such an element of Spring.*
Parking next to a puddle or patch of ice outside my driver’s side door is another.
Sticking to my to rule not to buy sandals in the Spring because I do not need them is a dependable fail for me. (New to me sandals arrived today. ❤️ them)
Finding at the grocery store another packaged food item had shrunk is an increasingly dependable discovery. Three minis make up for one normal size ice cream sandwich.

* I prefer to capitalize Spring because I don't consider the seasons as common nouns.

Pleased you love your new sandals.
ReplyDeleteI've recently been looking at them too but so far resisted.
All the best Jan
Jan,
DeleteGood luck! I hope you score a good buy.
When a style in the right brand shows up in my budget range,
right time and place rules. I have been very lucky this Spring with sandals.

Those mini ice cream sandwiches sure look Yummy. I always get ice cream in the summer, but it's starting to be that time again. Cute sandals too. I wish you a splendid spring week.
ReplyDeleteSheri,
DeleteThe minis are good. But, if they aren’t frozen really well, there’s ice cream all over the place after one bite. Messy stuff there. Regular size are still made. I grabbed the wrong box.

Sad to learn that ice cream sandwiches have shrunk, but glad you made up for that reduction by enjoying more of the smaller ones. Mud season has arrived in New England.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice,
DeleteRegular size ice cream sandwiches are still made. I just bought the wrong ones.
Mud splashes on cars is a Spring fashion. 😂

SNOW??? really?? our weather here has been so irregular, but no snow!! i always thought the seasons were suppose to be capitalized but when you look it up, i don't think they are!! i always buy sandals, in spring, many times more than one pair BUT i wear them year round!! shrinkflation, it's everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
DeleteWearing sandals all year saves on wearing slippers around here.
I have a pair of (Rite Aid closed) flip flops over ten years old in better condition than some brand sandals.

I suppose those ice cream sandwiches would be good for kids but I know I'd want more. Haven't had one in years and now I want one!
ReplyDeleteSandals too - I know I need a new pair but I hate shopping for them. Ordering online would be nice but I'm a 'between-size' person so hard to know what size to order.
