One of those fun days

Woe is me!

Onto storing away winter clothes, going through  storage bins, is a drag. I found near empty bins, class notes from over 20 years ago, and stuff that missed the trashcan.

In a one thing leads to another, somehow I tumble down the rabbit hole of updating email accounts. The first one I select, I forget the password. I keep old password books. I suspect one is missing. I find the cover from an old password book. The recent old password book cover doesn’t match the one I found. That confirms one is missing.

Diverted from the winter put away, as worthy as the email account maintenance is, I now prefer putting away clothes.

hunt for an old password book

  1. I can well understand your preference to clothes sorting over email updating. I do keep an email list because as we all know using the same PW is a no-no but darn it keeping up with creating new ones is such a headache.e Maybe the old password book will surface in another bin?

    1. Beatrice,
One of the last places to look is where I found 2 password books. Gmail rejects my password. I can’t reset because Google uses the old phone number. It makes no sense

  2. I love the illustration you did years ago. That's really lovely. I'm doing the same thing -- swapping out winter clothes for spring and summer. Not everything, because this IS Michigan, after all!

    1. Jeanie,
Leaving out some winter things is a good idea. I think of ice and huge crashing waves on Lake Superior when I think of Michigan.
I’m not keen on putting away my long puffer coat.

  4. I learned long ago not to use a book to keep passwords in because it became a cross-out mess that ended up not being the least bit useful. Now I use the small recipe cards filed alphabetically in a recipe holder - easy to file (and find!) and when a card gets full, I put it in the back and start a new one. I rarely need to look at the old cards but there has been a couple times. Might be something you'd like to try?
