You either select a subject, post a nice photo, post a stirring quote, or ramble on about stuff.
Things that bug me:
Viewers going back reading multiple old blog posts because it looks like (nefarious) snooping. It could be. It could also be that a reader finds my blog interesting. ☺️
Social media videos that build suspense and then don’t deliver. What is it!? Who was there!? What happened!? Tease headlines like that. Some will post to see the next video or part two. I see Block as a big part for no thanks.
When I forget something and/or do something stupid. While it makes sense that as we age, we change, it makes no sense being distracted takes on a less than stylish flare. In depression, feeling things is difficult. Add aging and already I’m creating a guidelines to explore dementia or Alzheimers. I’m distracted by other thoughts. There are things that don’t enthuse me. No big deal. I’m old. Have a cannoli.
And a lovely photo or two or more

I almost always go back and read old posts that I've missed. This is how I enjoy reading blogs. And ... if I start reading a new blog, I'll often read several back posts in the same sitting.
ReplyDeletePretty photos.
Ivy,
DeleteNew blogs for sure, reading a few old posts helps get to know the blogger.

Most of the time I have a blog post in mind, but the titles are always a challenge to come up with. Your purple flowers are pretty, and that white blossom tree is beautiful. Happy Easter to you. : )
ReplyDeleteSheri,
DeleteTitles are not easy. I find they flow smoother after I write a post. Until then, my mind is pretty vacant of words for a title. 😂

It may sound unusual, but finding a topic is less of a problem for me, rather it's finding time to write about it that is the bigger issue. So many things fascinate me and I try to keep a mental listing. Also, I find that posting about what's going on at home (yours or the community) always gives me something to blog about. I really believe that some days I can "make something out of nothing" and other days not so much.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice,
DeleteWriting time is a good point because some posts need that attention.

As you know, when I have nothing to blog about I haul out a bunch of mumblings (ie links for people to visit). It's funny that I put upon myself the 'requirement' to post 3x week despite not always having something the least bit interesting to post. When I first started blogging I felt I simply had to post every day and that just became too much. So yes, I suppose I ramble on about stuff at times.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteYour blog and links are always a treat! There are a few that I can still remember the images. The felt holly garland is in my bookmarks.

Cannoli fixes everything! Gorgeous tree -- I hope that's happening now, though given this past winter, probably not!

DeleteI think trees flower after the bulb flowers do. This being early April, it’s crocus and snowdrops time.
