Well, it’s like this. A few heavy stresses appeared on the horizon. Happily, one has positive results with a great feeling of thank you Lord and relief. The other requires gathering up papers, documents, and a revisiting my expository writing skill.
Weather and my energy are slowly aligning where I might be gardening this week. Tomato plants are back on my Summer container garden list. Parsley, basal, thyme, mint, oregano and Rosemary complete the list.
What is not going on is the deck arrangement. Everything needed is there. Once flower pots are cleared away, the rest will fall into place. Going light is the theme this Summer.
Note under this blog’s banner is the horizontal space for pages. Since I decided to continue blogging, I feel that this blog should be as I planned in the beginning. Most of the Pages there will start posting in late June
Off Instagram again, I notice a decrease in my YouTube channel watching enthusiasm. Episodes aren’t always numbered or dated well. Creators may film weeks before posting the video. A video may publish between videos more current.
For example, I just watched a cabin being painted. A video posted a week later as new content, has no paint. New video is about saying good bye to somebody going to Europe for three months. The next current video days later, shows the person barbecuing in the back yard, wearing the same tee shirt!
I feel encouraged to think about creating a balance between what I do versus watching what others do.

"Going Light" is a good theme for summertime, as it always gets so warm in most areas. This is a really pretty flower photo. It looks like a sweet ball of fluff. Happy June!
ReplyDeleteSheri,
DeleteFolks are talking about a hot summer. Stocking up on water with electrolytes is on my to do list.

I barely keep up my youtube channel and for the most part, it is things I prepare as birthday greetings for people using photos or video of the kids because it is easier to share that way than to email big files. So, good for you in doing something making sense! (Mine is as eclectic topic-wise as my blog!)
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteKeeping up a YouTube channel is a good idea.
With me, I forgot I already have one! My thoughts have been all about a new name separate from this blog. Rethinking what it is that I want to accomplish.

I'm glad you will keep on blogging. I much prefer reading blogs to Instagram or YouTube. It's too easy on those platforms to get caught in the swirling vortex that sucks up my time. Your last sentence says it well.
ReplyDeleteLorrie,
DeleteSwirling Vortex is a good description. I was amazed when I realized how fast 3 hours can pass when viewing Instagram reels. On a positive side, during a long wait at an appointment, being on Instagram will make the time fly. The DMV comes to mind.

I would like to figure out how to make a category section across the top of my blog but can't seem to wrap my head around it. At least I have them in my sidebar but I'd like to streamline them a bit more.
ReplyDeleteNever have really gotten sucked into youtube and instagram although I do like pinterest - at least I did, but now it seems to be focusing on links to YT and I and that's annoying.
