Reflection Monday October 2026

Autumn is the positive side of Nature.

Autumn’s leaf peeper season is a massive community event. The beauty of fall is as much the people as the beautiful colors of our forests.

People need open spaces outdoors. Beaches and forests are soul filters cleansing our spirit.

I watch live beach cams thinking, if I was there walking on that sand, I will limp the same as I do out my door. I wouldn’t be able to even walk a mile along that beautiful shore.

Ah, seagulls just flew by the camera lens.

  1. Living by the river here we see seagulls daily, plus other waterfowl. The Bald Eagles come back in the Winter months. Look forward to seeing them. Janice

    1. Janice,
By a river to see so many beautiful birds is wonderful.
It is having a front row window to Nature.

The live cams nowadays are as clear as being there.

  3. This is a beautiful photo. I think I mentioned where I live we don't get this kind of change for fall. I live by the Pacific ocean and seagulls are everywhere. You are right walking on the sand is hard these days.

    1. Nicole,
Thankfully, the salty scented air of the ocean doesn’t need a camera.

  4. I love this time of year. Earlier several times today I was outside soaking it in with the pup. Leaves falling the ground. Delightful.

  5. Seagulls often fly around our house as we're just a few miles inland. This is such a beautiful time of year, and the image you've shared is gorgeous.

  6. This year we lucked out (although some would be freaked) to see the massive gathering of turkey vultures flying over our river. There were well over a hundred and they only lasted one day before moving on.
