How the day is going

A day in the life of me, the blogger…

Have you Googled your blog name to read the description AI has written about you. 🥰

You may be surprised.

Writing this after posting this morning, and returning from doing errands, I feel chatty.

Diet wise, I try to switch things around to healthier foods, and place limits on frequency of not so great foods. A frozen dinner has become my new cup cake.

My new cupcake

Update on vehicle key fob: The new fob has arrived. Now I have to find a place that will cut the blade after I transfer the battery and circuit board. I will call around first before any transfer.

The maple walnut cake making will be late next week. There’s too much to clear away this week before I can sit at my dining table again to enjoy a slice of cake.

Working on limiting scrolling time, I deleted my Reddit account. The rules there are such that I cannot post or comment until my account is a certain age or I have a certain amount of activity. Drop in now and then like I did, is not welcome there.  It was nice in the old days when I first joined years ago. The new place with zealous moderators is not nice, IMHO.

What’s left for this afternoon? I have reading to catch up on. Remember, 1984, by George Orwell is the novel I selected for this summer’s re-read.

After that, a heavy push on gathering up clothes and things to donate. Most is done already. Then there’s a bookshelf move and a lamp gathering. I use to buy bargain lamps at yard sales. Many I use. There’s a few that might make a nice rewiring project for somebody. Thrift stores refuse lamps that need to be wired.

Hoping your day is going well

Out my window, the sky is darker and the trees have a wicked waving thing going on.

Later…

Blue sky and puffy clouds are back

I got side tracked hand sewing fabric strips together. Now I’ll get to reading.

Reading was rough. The first four chapters, I think, it could have been at least be written half the pages. On a lovely breezy day in August, sitting outdoors reading for this elderly person, dozing off was a struggle. I had to read over some paragraphs 3 or 4 times.

Staring at sunflowers gone by, ( still worthy of goldfinches taking the seeds), I thought about Van Gogh’s sunflower paintings. Weird is that as depressed as he was reported to be, I don’t recall seeing a painting of faded sunflowers. So, I did a small sketch using my new (birthday to me present) Fuumuui travel Kolinsky brushes.

Left hand exercise done, I’m back indoors just as gray cloud rolled over.
