A Blog Hiatus

The Google Blogger, Whoops that's an error page has become such a problem for me leaving comments, I will be away from blogging for a few days.
Or if I manage to get Salty Pumpkin Cafe up and running, elsewhere.

Thank you for your understanding
And please, if you encounter the problem, then post on the help forum.

Whoops, that's an error.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Try refreshing the page to see if things are back in order.

1 November...mini miracle...left 4 or 5 replies in a row without the Whoops error showing up!
Yay November!
31 October, 3 published on a clear cache and history and then the Whoops stops additional messages. I can sometimes leave 3 to 5 replies and messages without the Whoops error page blocking me. That is another indication to me the problem should have a way of being fixed.
25 October 2021, Whoops error block on first try to leave a comment. I still think it is Blogger. My devices don't have the same settings.
On a clear cache and history, I left 1 reply to a comment on this post.
On my 2nd reply, the Whoops above appears.
It seems the more I complain, the worse the problem gets.
22 October 2021
I can only leave 1 comment before the Whoops error page shows up
no matter how many tabs or page refreshes done.
Using the Full Page comment feature, the Whoops page didin't show up.
Ah, after using the Full Page, going back to Settings, and changing back to Embedded, the page appears with replies in order. That seems to me that the core of the problem is with Blogger.

    1. Hi Peggy,
      Both your comments are posted.
I'm using Edge at the moment, but the problem happens on Chrome as well.

This is the 5th try to post this reply as the first 4 have been blocked by the Whoops page.

For sure, this blog's URL will be forwarded to the new location.

  4. I can't understand why you're getting all this annoyance. Blogger is mysterious that way, working fine for one blog, comments vanishing on another, total breakdown on another. I hope you get it sorted. If you move platforms, be sure and keep us updated.

  5. Liz,
Using the Full Page comment feature, the Whoops error page doesn't show up.
The Full Page feature, however, has no Reply feature. It is a string comment program.

    1. If there is no problem on "full page", then you probably have restrictive cookie settings in your browser. Blocking third party cookies has many advantages, but you may have trouble commenting in the "embedded" option.

    2. Thank you, Arkadiusz
The embedded feature does appear where the glitch is making a home.

    3. What BX-code do you at the end of the Whoop's page? Always the same or different?

Before you start searching for other platforms, check the privacy settings in your browser - try to comment without blocking third-party cookies - if the problem disappears - you have the answer.

I will check those out. You have been a good help

  6. Touch wood, I don't seem to be having an issue with comments (probably shouldn't have said that because I've likely ensured the kiss of angst upon myself). There's got to be some sort of setting that's a problem on your computer but I'm not up on such things so absolutely no help.

  7. ps - don't be concerned if your comments on my blog don't show up right away - I have comment moderation turned on so it might take me a few hours to get to posting them.

There's another glitch where words disappear.
Typing away...Poof!...text disappears, empty comment box.

  8. I hate this. Do not give up! I had to register to log on someone's blog and I refused to go through that the other day. so I am not a follower of my advice.

    1. Tabor,
      Sorry you've had that experience.
It is not a friendly way for Blogger to treat people, have a old glitch that is not fixed.

  9. Oh! dear! to cut a long story short I am totally fed up with this new blogger interface! I reply to comments merrily with no problems most days and then there's the day where I can comment...I can't comment and then I can again and then it comes back again and then I get an error message and so on! More glitches in my blog role list which I won't bother to go into because it is boring and irritates me. Just hope you get it all sorted and should you move or set up a new blog page please don't forget where I live that is where my blog lives I mean LOL! Amanda xx

    1. Amanda,
Sorry you have the same aggravating problems on Blogger that I do. The glitch is very annoying.
If I find an easier blog host website, then I will let you know.
So far, the places I have looked into, appear to be so intent on pushing for paid upgrades, they seem to accomplish the opposite. If a free blog is awful to set up and use, then there is no way I'd want to upgrade to paid.

    1. Wendy,
Blogger is too easy to use. That makes it difficult to switch elsewhere. Nobody out there that has the money to compete with Goggle Blogger. sigh

Letting the problem fade away like sand castles disappearing as the tide comes in has been helpful.

  16. Wendy,
A bit of sand in the wind would be nice about now if it was from a warm beach somewhere.
