Sorting Out Life in Creative Ways: Vacation

There is a wisdom in that getting away from it all ala vintage soap opera style where turmoil means getting away, leaving town for an exoctic destination or the family cabin.

Where to go? What to do?

Winter is a good time to plan a vacation, dream of far away places.
Staying in America is where I feel comfortable. It is also less expensive than a tour guide service that I'd need in a foreign country due to my anxiety issues.
Starting close to home and fan out (over the years) is a reasonable plan. A theme narrows down locations.

  2. I could go for a nature's beauty spot but I'm through with doing new, or refreshing old, non-English based languages

  3. There used to be tours and interest groups for seniors known as Elder hostel. It's changed to Road Scholar now. Interesting trips, domestic and abroad, A bit pricey but I'm told from people who went on them, very well run.

  4. Carol, I hope you plan a fantastic vacation! Hugs

    Graham,
Beauty spot on my bucket list is in a UK wood when bluebells are in bloom. Texas bluebonnets I have seen fields in bloom.

    Liz,
A well run group tour is good to know. I believe they are better than going alone.

  7. A winter get-away may be in my future. Trying not to be too disappointed if it doesn’t happen.

  8. It's nice to make plans for a little vacation. And if you don't want to travel right now, I heard they had on-line tours of places, like Italy and such. It would be cool to see all the interesting places, especially if you don't want to leave the states. I hope you find something that suits you.

In mostcplaces, there's outdoor places for winter activities as well as concerts, lectures and such can feel like a vacation.

    Sheri,
Following summer as Earth's Sun travels to the Southern Hemisphere would be a fantastic vacation.

  10. I would so love a vacation. We take day trips now and then. We have our goose and our dove to care for, so going away isn't something we can do. I hope you find a vacation that will help chase away the winter a little.

No vacations for me until maybe next summer or fall.

Planning though, is on the horizon.

  12. Winter is a great time for planning vacations. I'm in the midst of planning one now for next summer. Getting out in nature is the best way to rejuvenate and refresh, I find. There is so much beauty, and fresh air is good for sleep.

  13. Lorrie,
    Y'all take the neatest vacations.
    Planning is fun.
A tour structure, a circle trail of places to stop, is a vacation buffet.

  15. William,
No vacations here anytime soon unless I win the lottery.

  16. I love that painting. The good thing about going to England (apart from the costs!) is that they speak English and I can read the signs.

  17. Jeanie,
Haha! True, nice to be able to communicate.
I laugh, learning a language, tells you how to ask where the restrooms are before teaching how to understand the directions.
