A Lovely February Saturday

Corn Snow

Lens Flare

Rabbit Tracks

Sitting outdoors soaking up some rays on a winter day was relaxing after an errands' out and about. Recent rain melted a lot of snow to create the icy crunch of what's called corn snow. I can see green grass. Spring fills the senses.

Wishing all y'all a spectacular week-end

P.S. I air drew myself down to my shoes, and then walked away via twiddling fingers. I was fun. :)

  2. Smiling is good, Marie
Choosing a song to sing to a marshmallow, making up a song is the better fun.
    Have a great weekend!

  4. We've still got a good amount, but it has been an odd winter.

  5. Sheri,
Corn snow is a skier's term to describe mainly icy snow from spring's warm days and freezing nights.
    Smile On!

  6. William,
    Odd winter is spot on.
One week winter. One week spring. Mother Nature on excess caffeine trying to race into spring.

  7. I shuddered about the corn snow. One of my art teachers took an awful fall skiing corn snow, ended with a knee replacement after a broken hip. Ow! That was the first I'd heard of it.

  11. Liz,
Corn snow is a dicey surface.
I was careful walking on it today.
    Sorry about your friend

    Thank you, Carol
Taking photos of what is around us is fun.

    Loree,
    They are cute to see.
I almost missed them in the bright sunlight.

    Lorrie,
Pre game, I sang along with Babyface for most of "American the Beautiful," next to an empty marshmallow bag. :)

  14. Beautiful photos as always. There has been no snow for us this year (we rarely get any) so I enjoy yours all the more. Best wishes for a creative week.

  15. Corn snow - I learned a new term! We've had very little snow all winter. I noticed that my day lilies are coming up. I think it's too soon! Unless we're done with frigid weather. That would be nice. Unless that means we'll have an early and hot summer. Hope not. The weather always keeps my brain busy.

  16. Marie,
5 weeks will go by fast. :)

    Hena,
The recent rains and higher temps took away lots of the snow at this lower elevation.

    Lisa,
Winter has more snow in the weeks ahead.

    Becki,
Out from under the melted snow, it is weird here to see such green grass in the yard.

We've not had any snow here this year.
I made pasta by hand this weekend. Not too much, but it was fun to try!
