Don't Let the Weather Fool You

It is not Spring, no matter what it feels like.

The recent warm temperatures in the Northeast are causing me daydream chaos. Thoughts dash about searching for something stable to hold onto. I find myself welcoming (the once dreaded) overcast clouds when they block out the sun.

Shake ups can be like sifting for treasure, revealing new ideas, and why didn't I relics...if we think of it with a positive attitude. Then.

Is Winter setting us for a cold blasting blizzard in the weeks ahead?
I'm not being drawn into that paranoia.
I have boots. I have gloves.
I have a down puffer coat!

Enjoying what good Earth's system brings is a blessing to embrace...even when it is still winter.

  1. Nature is unpredictable and beautiful. The last few days have been sunny, but when I got in my car this morning it was 19 degrees, the coldest day yet. February is very cold here, but I'm not quite ready for Spring anyways, so I don't mind. I need to get a puffy coat like you have, that's on my list. ; )

  2. Sheri,
Go for sturdy puffer coat fabric.
    As in a close weave.
A few years old, from my coat, feathers poke through more and more.

  4. Cathy,
    You are right about March.
I remember as a kid, blizzards around St Patrick's Day.

  7. As much as I'm loving these warm days, and today it was so sunny... I don't look forward to hot weather. HOT is my least favorite season anymore. I rather like jacket/sweater weather. But I think you're right. I'm keeping the winter jacket on the coat tree by the back door. I'm sure I'll need it at least a few times before spring.

  9. William, I believe you are right about winter.

Hugs to the lake, Kathy. Stay warm

Becki, Spring is 32 days and 9 hours away.

Marie, So true! Warmer weather is great for enjoying the outdoors.

  10. 50s one day here, 30s the next. You nailed it.

I'm sorry I'm so behind in reading and commenting on blog posts (or anything else, for that matter.) Between company for a week, a Corkie do at Rick's, an ear or sinus infection and the mass shooting, I'm not functioning on any kind of reasonable schedule. I don't know that I'll ever catch up but will try to get on track.
