What a sweet bird. Looks like a sparrow? No Spring here yet. We have been getting lots of snow still. But the sun comes out from time to time, which is nice.
There are more birds outside now - including the pesky starlings that will eat our suet feeder down to nothing in an hour - so that's a sign that spring might be coming. After the big snowfall on Friday we're hopeful that it will be the last.
Spring is inevitable, and seems closer on days with bright sunshine and birds twittering, as they are today. If the rain comes as forecast, spring will seem farther away, but will still show up!
I'm ready to start planting some things. I have the seeds, I need some soil - either dug out of the garden, or purchased. I'm impatient to start gardening already.

ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
ReplyDeleteA few more or less light snowfalls might be the end of winter. Time for April showers, in moderation.

ReplyDeleteBecki,
ReplyDeleteStore bought soil is best. There's too many critters in garden soil for me to have seedlings in the house. Spring is here next week!
