Day 251, Week 36 of September 2023
Times are changing for this blogger.
Presently, the Apple learning curve is providing me with an episode of frustration. There is no back arrow. When in a page, I am stuck in that page. I don’t know how I managed to get unstuck.
Barely using the new iPhone*, I am reminded never to allow a device to take flight by my hand. 😌😳😇
In Blogger when typing, the edit bar is not available. Ugh.
Oh, tap Done and the edit bar reappears. 😎
I will be blogging more often from my AIO PC. It is always an adjustment using a new system. My first impression of Apple, (ahem), is there is too much hand holding as in doing things for me as in too much control that is not user friendly. Over time, I am sure my opinion will change to favor iphone over Android.
Have a lovely weekend!
Draw a tall tree
Bake an acorn squash
Browse maple leaf mugs online
Sing joyfully
Read an E.A. Poe story
Create a kitchen creature
Study air quality in your region
Plan your holiday card designs
* P.S.
An iphone neighbor was helpful.
I now can find the home page.
P.P.S.
iphone 13 come with a charger cable,
but no adapter!
I think you will learn to love the Apple products. Since retiring from teaching, I haven't touched anything else and wouldn't even know where to begin with the other anymore. I am sure there are some cheat sheets or YouTube videos out there to help. Are you getting cooler weather yet?
ReplyDeleteSandy,
ReplyDeleteCooler weather is forecast in a few days.
Everyone I know love, Apple.
I am not thrilled. Go to recharge the phone, there's no adapter. They only include the cable.
Learning curves take patience ~ Whether it is Apple or another system they are all changing ~ of course ~ they need to perpetuate themselves ~ lol ~ You will get the hang of it am sure ~ One suggestion ~ I don't use my phone for posting my blog ~ use my Apple laptop ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend creating and learning ~ hugs,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Carol,
ReplyDeleteYou have wise words I will heed. Patience.
I was too comfortable to the Android system because navigation is easy. Want it, see it, click it, there it is.
Learning Apple feels like harvest veggies with a gopher in a burrow pulling back on the roots. At every turn there's an "Oh no you don't," coming from the ground. lol
Sorry you're having such a time with your blog posts. They should make things easier for us bloggers. Good idea to plan the holiday cards early. In recent years, I've shared a photo through e-mail. ; ) I miss the old fashioned card giving through the mail. ; )

Sheri,
ReplyDeleteCarol's comment, posting on the computer I am taking to heart. It will make blogging much easier and pleasant than using the iphone.
Mailing hard copy cards is a holiday treat. Starting early with a design, doesn't mean, though, they will be mailed early. :)
I always blog from my PC. Have only used an Apple device (IPad) at church when running sound. I do not find it intuitive at all.
ReplyDeleteBecki,
ReplyDeleteThe Android system is much easier to use than Apple iphones.
I compose blogs on my PC. I read nearly all blogs on my phone.
ReplyDeleteWilliam,
ReplyDeleteYou have a good balance.
At present, learning how to navigate an iphone, I'm happy with being able to find the phone icon. :)
