Snow On the Ground Sunday

There is more than half a foot of snow in the yard today from yesterday's snow storm. The sun is very bright this morning. Sun + Snow = Wear Sunglasses

Going outdoors, I feel like I should be on a mountain top wthe skis while sipping a hot chocolate. Looking up, the sun is reflecting off my sunglasses. I don't ski, but a bird seems to have tried out the small slope near my deck.

The snowfall was steady, not the kind you sit to watch when daydreaming. It was out there. I was in here. We were good. Sadly, I wanted a warm milk with a glug or two of Kahlua. Woe was me, I didn't stop to buy milk on Friday morning. What liquid dairy was left, went into my coffee. Priorities.

  1. allot people on the east coast and the midwest as well got snow-ugh we did get cold and very very strong winds. do you make your own kahlua? I have a really good recipe I have used for years and years. I now make it sugar free with splenda instead of sugar and use decaf coffee so I can drink it haha once you let it age it's really good

    1. Kathy,
No homemade Kahlua here. I'm lazy in that regard.
The level of snow is sinking as I type from the bright sunshine that's been out all day. Thy sky is a really gorgeous blue.
      Have a good week!

Coffee is a necessity that I will splurge on.

  3. A hot cup of coffee looking outside to the snow sounds like a perfect day. I always love your snow pictures, along with those cute little bird tracks that you always seem to find in the snow. Some of the prettiest snowfalls are when the sun shines down after, making the snow glisten. ; )

    1. Sheri,
When the wind shapes the snow the plow pushes up, it can be a nice time to take photographs.
I've been on the look out for such a happening.
      Have a wonderful week!

  4. Our inches of precipitation came down as record rainfall and flooding. I'm glad you kept warm even without your preferred bevvy.

    1. Liz,
Sorry y'all had flooding. That is the awful part of spring time.
The day was pleasant here with the stay inside vibe going on.

  5. Oh my, snow is a distant memory here, but it's chilly and drizzly today. I had hoped for sunshine. Hopefully your snow will melt soon. Glad you could keep warm.

    1. Lorrie,
A lot of snow has melted. Now it looks like early spring's sugar snow.
      Happy Sunshine!

  6. We managed to escape the worst of the snow here which I guess is a good thing. Of course, having said that, the water level is really low in the river and people are complaining that their docks are high and dry in the lake. Rather worrisome to think about the water table and what's coming if the summer is dry.

I pray this summer has good rain amounts, no heat waves, and just a nice season folks because we deserve it.
