I created the stylized globe (photo above)
inspired by the photograph of the fruit,
(photo below). A good solid orange hue
is not easy to achieve.

What is strange about the globe photograph is that looking at it, I have a feeling of seeing a movement vibe going on there. That doesn't happen when viewing the fruit.
I believe the reason for the globe's optical illusion is the radiancy.
My brain expects movement from a radiant object.
As a pastime, I play around with the computer's photo editing and drawing programs. I've added Corel to my wish list as I explore other programs. Adobe Photoshop is nice, but I want a program to buy, not subscribe to.
Please, if you have a recommendation for a photo editing program, then leave the name in a comment.
Thank you
The pattern over the globe gives the sense of movement. I like it.
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteThe globe is being considered for a new profile photo instead of the real pumpkin picture.
The more I look at it, the more I like it.
The fruit doesn't look digital to me, just an original pretty photo. You have shown one of my favorite fruits. The orange is special to me, and I love to see them in my kitchen. Besides their bright orange color, they have sentimental meaning to me. How fun to play with photos and edit pictures as a hobby. It's a creative hobby as well.

Sheri,
ReplyDeleteOranges are a cheerful fruit. Orange blossum scent, is one of the prettiest there is.
I use to edit photos with Pic Monkey, but now you have to pay for it I believe. Janice
ReplyDeleteJanice,
DeleteSomehow I'm registered with picmonkey from a long time ago. I see they are charging to use the website.
I'm trying Handy Viewer. For now, I've been using Irfanview for years. Good program, but has limits.
Lovely glow in the photo. I use the editing software that came with my Microsoft Surface. I still wish Picasa was around.
ReplyDeleteLorrie,
DeletePicasa was easy to use. It is missed.
I took a look at Microsoft for photo editing programs. They have free photo editing programs as well as subscription. I'm trying out their Ultimate Photo Editor. It is super easy to use.
Sorry I can't help with the photo editing question because I have no idea. Whatever you did with the orange looks magnificent though!
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteWhen chosing colors, it is not easy to get just the right hue. I often have to use a color HTML website to find the shade I want, write down the code, and then type it in on Blogger when customizing my blog.
I have a Mac laptop and use their Photoscape alot ~ nothing fancy or complicated ~ you sound more sophicated with the computer so am sure you will find what you want but as you know ~ everything costs extra ~ more and more ~ sigh

Carol,
DeleteEventually, I'll have to cave and buy or subscribed to a good photo editing program.
Happy Easter!
Hugs
I can understand not wanting to pay a monthly fee for a program as neither would I. Here's a couple of photo editing suggestions for you - Fotor Photo Editor and PhotoScape X. Is was using PhotoScape free version for a couple of years go do minor tweaking and just recently decided to pay the $40 to unlock the Pro benefits, which I have not fully explored. Fotor has a free version and also a paid one, but I do not know the cost.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beatrice
DeleteI will give them a look.
Have a Happy Easter
You're very welcome and hope that you find a useful program, Also, I hope that you enjoy a wonderful Easter weekend, whatever you will be doing. We are happily spending it at home, stress-free holiday.
DeleteNo recommendations here. I use Picassa and also the one on my HP computer (Microsoft) but it's only very basic.
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteAh, I also have an HP. I guess it is time I learn to use the photo editing program. lol. I didn't even think about that one.
Years ago I had a program, one time buy, for building web pages. The learning curve was steep, but worth the effort.
A thing about learning photography besides having a good camera, is having a good editing program.
Very well done.
