Day 96 of Week 14 March 2024

The rarely used top shelf can have some surprises. Clearing out things, I emptied my dish collection in the bottom cabinet. I didn't bother with the top hanging cabinets until I decided to rearrange things.

A beverage center is a must for me. I don't know why, but it makes me feel organized, spiffy, relaxed. With all I need right there, there's no turning around to see dishes in the sink or have reason to go hunting for something or other.

Moving things, I found more dishes to donate on the top shelf. So a packing them up I go for a thrift store drop off next week.

Do you have a beverage center counter space?

  1. We do have a space which has all the necessary items to make our tea/coffee.
I always make sure the kettle is ready to be switched on :)

    All the best Jan

    1. Jan,
A kettle is nice to have.
      I'm still using the stove.

  2. Oooo, I like that little white saucer with the gold edges. So good of you to go through things and donate to Goodwill. I'm sure they will appreciate your donations very much.

Your list is delightful, especially writing a letter or note to a friend. It's always nice to get mail.

    1. Sheri,
I used to favor white with gold trim dishes. Now I like earthenware the best.
But if I went back to having folks to dinner, then I might go fancy dishes. :)

  3. Those top cupboards! There's always something there we wish we'd found earlier or that needs to move on! I love today's list. I'm going through the massive donate stage too. I love dishes!

    1. Jeanie,
Clearing out cabinet space is a wonderful feeling.
Not filling them up again is even better.
      :)

  5. No beverage centre in our house - although the coffee pot does sit out on the counter all the time. We have very little in the way of counter space so what's there has to be in use a lot.

    1. Maryanne,
My counter space barely fits a large cutting board. The one near the sink is larger, but too close to water
to be of use for electric appliances.
One day though, I'll have a rolling counter thing.

  6. No I don't have a beverage center as such but I do have a cup tree next to my coffee maker. Sounds like you are doing some minimalizing like myself. I will be watching the eclipse hopefully this afternoon. The sun has come out and our cloud cover seems to have moved out. Well take care and have a blessed day. Hugs!

    1. Debbie,
I hope y'all saw the entire solar eclipse.
It was fun, short, but fun. There were all sorts of folks out watching. There were motorized hang glider things, and a drone over our area. Not thrilled about a drone over a residential area though.
Two small bird flocks flew by in tight formation.

  7. No beverage center on the counter, but coffee, tea and hot cocoa mix, along with mugs are in a cabinet above the coffee maker, and the microwave is right there too - so I can heat up water quickly for tea (hot or iced). Another nearby cabinet holds an assortment of glasses within arm's reach of of the icemaker (in the refrigerator freezer). There's not much more coordination I can bring to the situation. :)
