Recycling Old Thinking Trash
Here I go again with the thinking...
Walden Pond Cove Woods 2004
The photo above that I took in 2004 is a favorite. It was the image on my calling cards back in the day when I hoped to sell my artwork. Alas, health issues took me on another path.
Is there a lot of change from early 2000 to 2024? I'm still old and dealing with depression and other issues. Then I realized, something has changed. I'm not as dumb as I use to be (with any reliable consistency). Even my phone and computer are smarter.
Why not look again at old ideas that went by the wayside for one reason or another. Our thinking trash can be recycled.
An issue that has grabbed my attention is all the (estimated) hundreds of cloud pictures I've taken. In one bin sorted by date and type, my cloud atlas will be finished.
Do you have old ideas you can recycle?
A beautiful scene. Great plans too.
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteThe nice aspect of a historical place to visit is peace and quiet. At Walden Pond however, on weekends especially in the fall, it is busy. You can hear all sorts of foreign languages. It tickles me that Thoreau is my 5th cousin (by marriages) remove something. We share a grandmother.
Thinking trash - now that's something to give some thought to!
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteLooking through old idea book, it is amazing how many ideas go by the wayside.
I love this idea of rethinking. It's a very good thing to contemplate. After all, we learn from our pasts (if we don't forget them!)
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteOld sketchbooks and idea notes are a wealth of entertainment as well as a source to recycle ideas.
I can see why that photo is one of your favorites. You can see all the vibrant Autumn colors in each of the trees. Yes, there are a lot of good ideas from our past that we can use today. I like to decorate with old treasured items sometimes, and incorporate them with the new.
ReplyDeleteWishing you pleasant October days ahead.

DeleteThe days just before peak foliage can be beautiful.
I love that. Yes something that didn't work before can always be recycled and upcycled.
ReplyDeleteHena,
DeleteUpcycled, I like that word! That fits better.
