A quick trip for lunch to the Robert Frost Interpretative Trail on a sunny afternoon to check on the foliage progress today was nice. I didn't walk around much.
At the higher mountain elevations there are more trees showing colors than middle and lower elevations. Along Route 125, there are colors in a tree here and there. At this stage, peak will take few more days. I expect this weekend and all of next week will be the best leaf peeping.
I expect that's when crowds will arrive.
ReplyDeleteLiz,
DeleteYou are right.
There was a good amount of folks there today, but not the number that shows up during peak foliage.
We are far from peak colour foliage yet. One of our favourite spots is totally green for a few more days.
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteIt is good to have a favorite spot for foliage.
I think you have to check every day to be there during the peak foliage.
The colours might not be quite at their peak but they sure are pretty. We don't have time to do much in the way of little road trip this year so I guess we'll pretty much miss them. I think it's probably at least a couple of weeks before they will be peaking here.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteIf the weather turns cooler, then the colors will turn faster.
I hope y'all have a chance to see some of it.
Oh Maywyn how beautiful. Wish we had planned our trip to Vermont just a wee bit later. We saw some color change but not quite as much as your photos. Sure hope you will share more as the foliage becomes more colorful. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs!

DeleteMid-October the colors will be beautiful. Next week isn't far off.
Mother Nature's beautiful season is about to come.
ReplyDeleteBill,
DeleteIt feels like autumn arrived really fast this year.
Colors look amazing! Thanks for sharing. Janice
ReplyDeleteJanice,
DeleteThe colors this year are looking to be spectacular.
What amazing colours! We don't get that variety here in the west. No wonder people want to visit the eastern parts of the continent during fall.
ReplyDeleteIt's been slow here.
ReplyDeleteWilliam,
DeleteI've notice that here as well. With the cooler weather, this weekend should be near peak in many places.
