A Finished Painting

The painting is finished.
It looks better in person than in the photograph.
Does that mean I'll change it? Probably.
For now, it is as it is.
I prefer to glue cotton duck canvas onto hardboard because it is easier to ship and frame. It can be heavier. Easy to frame because the profile is thin enough to fit into ready-made frames.

What a lovely and well done painting! I feel the cold!!! I have covid right now, just looking quickly at my reading list and saw the thumbnail of your painting, and had to comment even though I feel like my head is off somewhere else in the room! DeleteWinter is tough to photograph, but easier to paint.
The changes are subtle and yet noticeable when I scrolled back and forth. Funny how we're never fully satisfied with a painting (or in my case a fabric landscape) and always see areas that could be improved. I suspect it's the same for pretty much all artists.
