Reflection Monday October 2024
October Along the New Haven River Lincoln, Vermont |
How often do you settle
instead of staying on course
with your first choice?
We decide much of what shapes our lives.
How much is from fate, outside forces,
adds to our view of self.
When you are at relaxing in the moment,
thinking of this and that, chilling out,
ask yourself what you are chilling about.
Are you the river or the landscape?
Well I can be both at times, so it depends on the situation. Janice
ReplyDeleteJanice,
DeleteBeing adaptable is a good way of living.
That's a similar question to being the pond or the fish! Worth thinking about.
ReplyDeleteLiz,
DeletePond or the fish is worth thinking about.
I am one or the other depending on the day. Today it is landscape!
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteBeing the landscape opens up a lot of potential.
Lovely autumn photo ~ flow like the river in life and centered and balanced like the landscaper ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

DeleteThat is a good position to be in.
Gorgeous image of autumn glory! There's time for both river and landscape in life, I think. Settled, but adaptable.
ReplyDeleteLorrie,
DeleteSettled but adaptable is also a good position to be in.
I am relaxing at the moment, as I just came home from grocery shopping. Not my favorite thing to do,
ReplyDeletebut it's over for the week, and I'm grateful for food. This is such a lovely Autumn picture.

Sheri,
DeleteGrocery shopping has been less and less fun for me as well.
I've had it with food going bad because it got hidden on a fridge shelf.
