Farewell June, your days really warmed us up for summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
The recent heat wave was so brutal, it taught me the good lesson to stay indoors. As I age, being outdoors in the sun or shade when it is hot out, is much less tolerable and more unhealthy. The direct sun bothers me. Heat while sitting in the shade for a short time didn’t. It does now.
Learning. What else have I learned recently?
Pinky toes are cheeky.* Once in a while they go on commando mode to attack any small something invading one or the other’s level space. A corner of a wicker picnic basket or a coffee table leg temporarily moved, for example. Pinky toes seem to have no fear of being broken. In fact, I think they love the rugged taped together look and, the odd limp and wince walking style.
Have a Wince-less Weekend!
Barbeque veggie kabobs
Buy a basket of petunias
Draw a fun map
Make a cereal box trinket box
Read a good mystery novel
Vacuum your vehicle
Dance to a TV commercial
* No noticeable bruising twice stubbing the same pinky toe. Hurt a lot though.
