The atmospheric pressure must be at work along with the tension the snow storm brings because today I have a feeling of being out from under a dark cloud. I feel lighter, more energetic, creative.
Adding. I’ve been on a journey to diversify the YouTube channels I watch. Craft shows are replacing comfy camping videos.
I watched about ten minutes of hands making a gift box out of cardboard. Did I learn anything? Yes. Is it useful? Yes. I gained a few tips, and, saw an example of the hands only style video filmed well. Not all videos of that style are that good. A hand dance going from scissors to paper to glue is lovely.
What else I notice in my journey is the status of my own creativity. Watching people make things is inspiring. Instead of multiple camp set ups, I see craft materials going together.
I hope y’all put effort into regularly viewing creative shows, when your time allows. I believe it can help lift your spirits like it has mine.
The sun just came out. Still, the snow won’t melt in the cold temperatures. That is all right with me because the melt that freezes when the thermometer digits go down in the evening is not a happy event. Nobody likes ice on the roads.
And the winds blowing around a massive amount of powder snow will create iffy roads. A big snow drift suddenly ahead is also not a happy event.
Drive Safe

I have never gotten into watching videos, primarily because I'd much rather be being creative myself than watching others. I have enough ideas of things I want to make that I don't need inspiration. I guess I should learn to watch videos because surely I'd learn something.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne,
DeleteYou are a very creative person for sure.
Watching craft videos was not easy because I wasn’t all that keen about watching. them. The ones I have been watching changed my mind. i don’t recall thier names right now. One is Cosy something or other.

I'm glad you are safe and sound. I hate driving in the snow. Hoping this is our last storm of the winter!
ReplyDeleteDebra,
DeleteMost likely there’s lots more winter left.
The city streets are awful, plowed ok, but bumpyish snow packed.

i love youtube, often more than television. i watch a lot of knitting and crafting videos, and i learn so many things. i also enjoy cooking videos, i have added many recipes to my collection from there. it is so cold here and the snow is not melting. there is chatter about another storm on sunday. if it comes, the snow from the last storm will still be here. i adore the juncos, with their little pink beaks. they only visit me when it is snowing and i saw a lot during the last storm!!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
DeleteThank you! I will check out cooking videos. For years I’ve wanted to learn how to make good biscuits. This might be that year.

We have been in the house since Friday. I miss walking outdoors but it is cozy inside and that keeps me in during the cold, snowy weather.
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteWalking outside has been uncomfortable lately. Staying indoors is good.
Stay warm!

I am so over Winter now. Glad this latest storm is over. I did watch the birds during it though. There was this cardinal and Bluejay going at it that as interesting to watch. Janice
ReplyDeleteJanice,
DeleteOne storm and done with winter is understandable.
It is only January. The last few years here have felt like early spring instead of winter. We need the moisture snow brings to ease the drought.

When it melts, I want a slow melt. The ground just can't handle a fast one, it's so frozen. And you're right about the refreezing. I think I will watch a creative video this morning!
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteEnjoy a nice video. Cozy Junk Studio is a fun craft YouTube channel.
